An unprecedented number of foreign players have left the Indian Premier League (IPL) mid-season, causing concern and chaos among the teams. This sudden exodus has prompted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to take a firm stance and send a clear message to the franchises.
The BCCI has informed the franchises that they will have to bear the financial burden of foreign players leaving the league mid-season. This means that the franchises will not be able to claim any compensation from the league organizers or the players themselves. The BCCI has also made it clear that the franchises will have to find suitable replacements for the players who have left, without any financial assistance from the league.
