You’re sipping chai and scrolling through social media when you stumble upon a post bashing India’s cleanliness. It’s easy to get defensive, isn’t it?
But what if someone came forward and said, ‘Hold on, that’s not the whole story?’
Foreign Traveller’s Perspective
A foreign traveller has taken to social media to share their experiences of India, calling out the ‘negative, one-sided’ image often portrayed on social media.
The traveller, who prefers to remain anonymous, said they’ve seen the good and the bad in India and that the country deserves a more balanced representation.
‘I’ve been to many countries, but India has a unique beauty that can’t be captured in a single post or video,’ they said.
They pointed out that while some areas may be dirty, others are spotlessly clean and welcoming.
According to them, the problem lies in the way social media presents a skewed view of India, making it seem like the entire country is dirty and chaotic.
They also highlighted the efforts of local governments and communities to keep their surroundings clean and green.
But what does this mean for us? The question is, do we let one negative post define our country, or do we look beyond the surface and see the beauty in our diversity?
As the traveller said, ‘India is a complex country, and it’s time we show the world the real us.’
