MCX Gold Rises on Middle East Easing Hopes; Silver Slips

Gold prices on MCX surged Wednesday as market participants grew optimistic about easing tensions in the Middle East. The MCX gold April futures contract rose 0.48% to settle at ₹1,48,396 per 10 grams, reflecting renewed investor interest in the precious metal.

In contrast, MCX silver May futures declined 0.85%, trading at ₹2,38,836 per kilogram, indicating divergent sentiment between the two metals.

The uptick in gold prices comes as geopolitical risks show signs of moderation, a key factor influencing precious metal valuations. Investors typically flock to gold during periods of uncertainty, but price corrections often follow when tensions ease and risk appetite improves.

Market participants remain watchful of global developments and their impact on commodity markets. Gold continues to serve as a safe-haven asset for Indian investors managing portfolio risks amid volatile market conditions.

The movement in MCX bullion futures reflects broader sentiment in Indian commodity markets, where precious metals play a crucial role in retail and institutional investment portfolios. Traders should monitor geopolitical developments and global cues for further directional movement in coming sessions.
