Are the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) back to their winning ways? Absolutely!
LSG’s Rishabh Pant and Mohammed Shami showed their incredible skills as they took their team to a five-wicket win over the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in an IPL 2026 match.
Pant made a remarkable 92 runs off just 45 balls, including 12 fours and two sixes, helping LSG chase down a competitive 185-run target set by SRH.
The LSG openers got off to a flying start, adding 83 runs in the powerplay, with Pant scoring at a strike rate of over 200. The 23-year-old Pant was eventually run out in the 12th over, but his incredible innings had already set the tone for the match.
Shami Shines with the Ball
LSG’s Mohammed Shami was instrumental in restricting SRH’s batting lineup, taking three wickets for just 29 runs in his four overs. The experienced pacer, who has consistently been one of the top bowlers in the IPL, used his variations to great effect, picking up crucial wickets at regular intervals.
SRH’s batting lineup, which had looked threatening at one point, finally collapsed under the pressure of Shami’s bowling, failing to reach the 190-run mark. The SRH bowlers struggled to contain LSG’s batting lineup, which eventually cruised to a comfortable win.
LSG’s win marks a much-needed turnaround for the team, which had lost its previous two matches. The team will look to build on this momentum and make a strong push for the playoffs.
