Powerica has mobilised ₹329 crore from anchor investors ahead of its initial public offering (IPO), according to an official circular released by the company.
The company completed the allocation of 83,39,239 equity shares to anchor investors at ₹395 per share. This anchor allocation marks a significant milestone in the pre-IPO process, indicating strong institutional confidence in the company’s offerings.
Anchor investor participation is a critical component of IPO launches in India, as it helps establish price discovery and demonstrates investor sentiment ahead of the broader public offering. The anchor portion typically gets allocated one day before the IPO opens for retail and institutional subscription on the NSE and BSE.
The anchor investors’ commitment at ₹395 per share provides a reference point for the IPO pricing band. This move reflects institutional interest in Powerica’s business model and growth prospects.
Powerica’s IPO details, including the issue size, subscription timeline, and other terms, will be disclosed as per regulatory requirements set by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and stock exchange norms. The company is expected to list on either the National Stock Exchange (NSE) or Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) following successful subscription closure and regulatory approvals.
