India has strongly criticised Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent speech at the United Nations, calling his country’s actions a ‘double game’ that serves no one, not even Pakistan itself.
The sharp retort came after Sharif, during his address, spoke about peace and cooperation while simultaneously accusing India of human rights violations and promoting terrorism. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ruchira Kamboj, did not hold back, stating that Pakistan’s ‘duplicity’ was evident and that such behaviour would not lead to any positive outcomes for their nation or the global community. She pointed out that while Pakistan talks about peace, it continues to harbour and support terrorists, a clear contradiction that cannot be ignored.
Pakistan’s Terrorist Links Exposed
Ambassador Kamboj specifically highlighted Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism, a long-standing issue that India has repeatedly raised on international platforms. She reminded the global audience that Pakistan has a history of using terror as a tool of state policy, which has caused immense suffering not only to India but also to Pakistan itself. The Indian envoy emphasised that instead of seeking international sympathy, Pakistan should focus on taking concrete actions against terrorist groups operating from its soil and dismantle their infrastructure.
