Uttar Pradesh is planning something massive — six new high-speed corridors running vertically across the state, covering 2,300 kilometers. To put that in perspective, that’s like building a highway from Mumbai to Delhi and back again. The state government believes this network will transform how people and goods move across northern India.

Right now, most major highways in India run east-west. These new vertical corridors will fill a real gap. They’ll connect the Indo-Gangetic plains directly to central India, creating shortcuts that currently don’t exist in any proper form.
